MANDATORY DISCLOSURE BEFORE PLAN PURCHASE: Every item in Section 3 below is a mandatory pre-purchase disclosure under the Consumer Protection Act 2019 and Indian Contract Act 1872. All disclosures are made transparently to ensure fully informed consent.

 

1. WHAT IS THE MGR BUYBACK GUARANTEE PLAN?

The MGR Buyback Guarantee Plan is an optional, paid service contract offered by MGR Mobile Service to customers purchasing mobile devices. It provides a guaranteed ‘up to’ buyback value upon return of the device within the selected plan period. The Plan is a service contract — NOT an insurance product — and MGR Mobile Service is the sole obligor.

 

OPTIONAL: Your device purchase is NOT conditional on purchasing this Plan. This Plan is your choice.

Specific buyback percentages are disclosed at the time of plan purchase based on the device category and tenure elected. Percentages are subject to change for new plan purchases but remain fixed for plans already purchased.

 

3. MANDATORY DISCLOSURES (Pre-Purchase Reading Required)

1.   'UP TO' VALUE ONLY: The buyback value is a MAXIMUM 'up to' value. It is NOT a fixed, guaranteed cash payout. Your actual payout depends on device condition at time of return and MGR’s technical inspection results.

2.   INVOICE VALUE ONLY: Buyback is calculated exclusively on the original MGR Invoice Value — NOT on the device’s MRP, current market price, or any other figure.

3.   CONDITION-DEPENDENT: Physical damage, liquid damage, unauthorized repairs, or functional deficiencies will reduce the final payout — potentially to ZERO.

4.   STORE CREDIT ONLY: Settlement is in the form of store credit at MGR or adjustment against a new device purchase. NOT a cash payment.

5.   CLAIM WITHIN VALIDITY: You must submit the device to MGR BEFORE the plan expiry date. Claims after expiry are not accepted.

6.   NON-REFUNDABLE: The Plan price is non-refundable once purchased.

7.   NON-TRANSFERABLE: Valid only for the specific device (IMEI-linked) and Customer named at purchase.

8.   DATA: Back up all personal data before submitting the device for buyback.

 

4. CLAIM ELIGIBILITY — ALL CONDITIONS MUST BE MET

     Device submitted to MGR before plan expiry date.

     Device IMEI matches invoice and plan documents exactly.

     Device powers on and is in acceptable working condition.

     No physical damage (cracked screen, bent frame, broken parts).

     No liquid/water damage (no activated Liquid Damage Indicator).

     No unauthorized third-party repairs.

     Device not blacklisted on CEIR at time of return.

     Original device invoice and Plan Acknowledgement Form (F-06) presented at MGR store.

 

5. CLAIM REJECTION GROUNDS

     Physical damage of any nature.

     Liquid/water damage (any activated LDI).

     IMEI mismatch.

     Unauthorized repairs or modifications.

     Plan expired.

     Device blacklisted on CEIR at time of return.

     Device cannot power on.

     Original invoice or Plan Acknowledgement Form not produced.

 

6. HOW TO CLAIM

9.   Visit any MGR store BEFORE the plan expiry date.

10.    Bring: device + original device invoice + Plan Acknowledgement Form (F-06) + valid photo ID.

11.    MGR technical team inspects within 2–3 working days and communicates final buyback value.

12.    If accepted: device surrendered; store credit / purchase adjustment issued.

13.    If not accepted: device returned; plan concluded without settlement.

 

7. PLAN PURCHASE PROCESS

14.    Choose your tenure and confirm device category at the time of device purchase.

15.    Read and sign the Pre-Purchase Consent Form (F-05) — MANDATORY.

16.    Pay the Plan price (GST invoice issued).

17.    Sign and retain the Plan Acknowledgement Form (F-06) — your Plan Certificate.
