LEGALLY BINDING DOCUMENT: This document is intended to govern the relevant transaction with MGR Mobile Service. It must be read with the tax invoice, product listing, signed forms and applicable law. Nothing in this document excludes any non-waivable statutory right of a consumer under Indian law.

• MGR does not sell personal data for marketing or advertising.

4. Lawful Basis and Consent

Personal data is processed for lawful purposes such as performance of contract, compliance with law, fraud prevention, warranty/claim administration, grievance handling and consent-based communications. Consent for optional marketing may be withdrawn at any time without affecting legal/transactional processing.

As required for fraud prevention/legal compliance, generally 5 years from transaction or longer for disputes.

Warranty/plan period plus 3 years, or longer for legal disputes.

Support communications

3 years from last interaction or longer if dispute is pending.

Website analytics

Aggregated/anonymised where possible; operational cookies as required.

6. Rights

• Access to a summary of personal data processed by MGR, subject to verification and exemptions.

• Correction/completion of inaccurate personal data.

• Withdrawal of consent for optional processing.

• Grievance redressal through MGR's Grievance Officer and, when applicable, the competent statutory authority.

• Erasure may be requested where legally permissible; records required under tax, warranty, fraud prevention, litigation or law-enforcement obligations may be retained.

7. Security

MGR follows reasonable security practices, including access controls, locked physical storage for KYC records, limited staff access, secure digital records, password protection, payment processing through secure channels and need-to-know sharing. No system is risk-free; incidents will be handled as required by applicable law.

8. DPDP Act and Rules

The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 are in phased commencement. MGR will implement applicable notices, consent practices, contact-point disclosure, data principal rights handling, breach response and retention controls as each enforceable obligation becomes applicable.
